The english department head called me in his office today TEN minutes before I had a class to tell me they are most likely eliminating positions for next year and since I was the last one hired....

This was the ONE thing I wasnt worried about girls. I am FREAKING right now. Im completely unprepared to do the whole resume thing AGAIN and honestly, I dont know if I can handle ANOTHER 'first' year at a new school. I was so upset I had to throw lessons in my inclusion teachers face and I cried in the bathroom for 20 minutes.

Now not only do I have to worry about finding a place to live after the wedding, I have to worry about not being able to PAY for it. Im absolutely at a loss and I cant believe how hard I work for nothing. This profession is just so disheartening sometimes.

Meanwhile, we are getting effing ASTRO TURF on our field.... yea.

Im now off to my lasik appointment and god knows what my eyes are going to look like.

I'm sorry Jen... Is a definite thing that they are getting rid of some positions? Has the budget been voted on yet? A lot of those kinds of things depends on the budget vote, maybe they are just giving you a heads up in case the budget doesn't pass. I hate the teaching profession personally, I had to get out of it. Its all about politics, not who is doing a good job or not.
Someone said earlier you can always sub if you can't get a job for next year right away, that is definitely true, I know it stinks, but it is an option.
