I really love lilacs and would love to do them for the bo-k. Has anyone ever seen this done or are lilacs mostly used as a filler for the bo-ks?? And do you think they would look ok with Lite Green BM dresses?

Are these lilacs? I think they're pretty and would be a great option.
I know I've seen posts with lilacs in them, but it might just be in the CPs. Check for the official bo-k thread- it might have some pics. I'll try to bump it. You should be able to get them- they're usually in bloom in April, and I think they'd look gorgeous!

i love lilacs! My only concern is that they will fall apart easily.

I'm doing lilac with peony. I think its going to look very nice. I have seen lilac with pink roses but I don't have a picture saved. I found it on google a long time ago.
Then look for speciality bios--and i think they have purple and all purpole bios--as well as Bo-K bios with TONS of pics. i belive the purple bios have some lilacs in them.

Re: Lilac Bo-k?
I had liliacs in my BM boks and centerpieces. They were beautiful but didn't last the whole night. We had to keep them in water until we needed them, so keep that in mind. In my bok, i had lilies, hyacinth, peonies, hyndrangea. Again, beautiful, but we had to keep them in water.
These aren't the best pics of the bok's but all that I have right now.
I wanted Lilacs more than anything. They have always been my favorite flower, but my florist said they would wilt very quickly in the heat and I believe she is right.
I have a huge lilac bush in my backyard and when I pick them and put them in water they dont last very long at all :(

Lilacs are gorgeous and fragrant, but even the healthiest plants don't last. The tiny flowers will be falling off with the slightest movement. Even though they are very pretty, I would go w/ a sturdy flower. If you like the color, maybe try lavender roses or something like that.
