Lillettes

I'm trying on dresses tomorrow for the first time. I'm nervous & excited all in one!!!


Does Lillettes have a wide variety in dresses? Is the staff nice?

i haven't made it in there yet, but they are dolls on the phone answering all of my questions about what they carry!

I've heard *great* things about this store and the staff. Ask for Gerri when you go, I hear she's really nice and super patient and helpful!

have fun dress shopping!! lillette's was the first place i went to and i found my dress there! i totally wasn't expecting or think i'd find a dress right away but i did and i love it! they are so nice there...i worked with Joan she was a sweetheart. i worked with Gerri when i was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding last year...she's really nice too! let us know how it goes!

They are really great! I think I worked with Carol. She went above and beyond. She looked down stairs in the stock and found the most beautiful Maggie Sottero gown for me. Its not the one I'm going with but her efforts were greatly appreciated. They do have a large selection.

I've also gone to Village Bridal in Babylon. They are wonderful too. I liked Lilletes store better but I liked the service at Village better. I also thought Village Bridal had a larger selection. Also, Lilettes doesn't allow you to take pictures, which really annoyed the crap outta me. Village Bridal is very laid back and will let you take photos. I had a much more comfortable experience at Village Bridal.

That being said... I also went to Bridal Elegance in Huntington. This place isn't as popular or common but my FSIL ordered her dress from there. She found it at RK Bridal in the city and then called Bridal Elegance and they ordered the dress for her, and at a better price!!! Phyliss has really been great everytime I spoke with her asking her about dresses and prices. I also feel very comfortable with her bc last year she just did my FSIL alterations and they were perfect. They have great hours. They stay open till 9pm tues and thurs which is amazing bc if your weekends are nuts, it gives you a little flexibility.

The last thing I really liked was the cap for alterations. It's capped at $400. Which includes the bussle and anything else. Most places have a smaller cap but then you're paying like $150 for the bussle, etc. Included in the cost is altering from a straight neckline to a sweet heart, if you want to add anything onto the dress, she'll sew that on...
