Do we need to make formal appointments to go see limo places, or is it cool to just kind of walk on to the lot during business hours?

Re: Limo - Appointment?
Most places do not require an appointment, but they have off-business hours. Most of the time Limo companies are open until 9:00 p.m. at night.
That being said, they also have showcases on set days of the week where all their limos are on display and you can get a quote. I believe a large majority hold their showcases on Tuesday nights - check their websites out.

I would call ahead, not to make an appt. per se, but to find out if it's cool for you to come in at that moment- some places want to make sure the cars are available for you too see and that they're clean...

I would call and make an appointment. Most of the bigger companies get pretty busy, especially in the evenings and on weekends.

I suggest making an appointment.
& I totally recommend meeting with Joe @ Camelot Limos -- He is so nice & will not pressure you at all. They are a vendor on here.

I also agree, Joe is one of the nicest people to talk to. I've been speaking to him on the phone and through email the last few days. FH and I are going on Monday night to see the fleet of cars and to sit with him to hopefully work out a nice deal!

Re: Limo - Appointment?
My DOC told me not to make an appointment and 'ambush' them. That way, you get to actually see what they have. A lot of these companies borrow cars from other companies. She said you should always go with a company who actually owns their own cars. We ambushed a company we heard good things about and low and behold, it took him 3 weeks to get back to us to show us 'his' rolls. Then like a week after that, I saw a post on here saying that he drove that couple to another limo company to see the rolls. It's a shady business. Just go. During the week is the best bet.

I suggest making an appointment. That way they can dedicate time to you and your questions.
