So, is it correct that a 10 passenger limo actually only holds 8 people in the back, and then 2 in front (1 being the driver)? I always thought that 10 passenger means 10 in the back, but I have been informed otherwise.
I ask because the company that we are probably going to use for certain reasons only offers a 10 person Lincoln stretch, and then a 12-14 passenger Excursion, and no offense to anybody using a truck, but I hate truck limos, and it does not fit in with my idea of what I want people to see at the wedding. I will be using the stretch to arrive with my girls to the church (7 people in car), and then will have the entire BP travel in it to the RH afterwards (9 people).
Does it seem like 9 people will fit in the back of a 10 person stretch? Or does someone need to get cozy and sit on someones lap?

Re: Limo Capacity Question
limo companies told me to never go by the amount the limo says its supposed to hold, always go by 2 less. So if its 20 passenger, 18 will fit comfortably.
Hmmm dont think anyone will have to sit on someones lap but you might be very close together, also your dress is bigger so will take up more space so keep that in mind.

Re: Limo Capacity Question
Hmm....my dress is very narrow so I think I'll be fine when going to church. Me and FH would have a Rolls to go to RH, so most would ever be 9 in back, but one of my BMs is bigger, plus 3 guys, so I don't know...I'd rather not go with another company and spend more money over 1 extra space in the car, you know?

your limo company doesnt have a 12 passenger? they should if they have a 10 passenger.
Like you said, will depend on a lot of factors, how much space ppl take for example. Im claustrophobic so thats why my vote is for 12 passenger but i would just call the limo company and talk to them about it.

Re: Limo Capacity Question
How far of a ride is it from your church to RH? If it's like twenty minutes I wouldnt worry about space but if it's an hour I would want them to be comfortable.

Re: Limo Capacity Question
It's a good half hour-40 minutes depending on traffic, because our church is very North
This particular company doesn't have a 12 passenger stretch, just a 12-14 truck, and since I'm a snob and don't want the truck, I kind of want to go elsewhere, but FH doesn't want to for other reasons, and it's always a big production with him lol.

THat is a drive than for people to be smooshed. Talk FH out of this limo co so you don't have to get the truck

i think it will be cramped...i wouldnt want to be uncomfortable for 40 mintues...that would make for unhappy pictures.

Re: Limo Capacity Question
I have been in a 10 passenger with 10 people and it was SO smushed! I would def. Try to find a 12 passenger if possible.
