limo costs....

We are just now looking into limos. Before, we were doing everything at the reception hall, and letting people just find their way there. Now that we have the church in NYC, we need the limos. Before I start calling, can anybody give me a general idea on cost? To pick up say in Jersey, drive to NYC - wait the half hour, drive to Long Island. Something along those lines? And how much do they cost when they just 'wait' - how do you do that? Do you send the limo home and then have them come back?

Re: limo costs....

maybe post this on the vendors board.
limo companies charge differently. some can charge garage to garage time, others by mileage, and some by the hour.
Good Luck!

Re: limo costs....

Most limo companies charge by the hour, not desitination.

In my case, we rented our limos from Royalty for 4 hours to: pick us up (Brooklyn), drive to NYC for photos and then ceremony, wait outside during ceremony, drive us to reception site.

It would have cost the same if they waited the entire time or drove the entire time.

Re: limo costs....

Some limo companies will charge you state-to-state charges because you're crossing bridges. I know when my friend got married in Astoria, she had to pay a fee because her reception was in Jersey.
