Limo help

How long did it usually take for any brides that had a church ceremony with a short mass and then head straight to the rh. Was 3 hours a sufficient amount of time? Im just a bit confused by this.

well we didnt head straight to the RH, we went to take pics elsewhere first since we werent taking them at the RH. Ceremony ended at 3pm, then went to pic locations for 2 hours and then went to RH. We got to the RH just a little before 7pm. But also depends on the distance, some are very close to their RH from the church and others far. My church was in queens and RH was in Long Island. After the ceremony we were in front of the church for a little bit so not like you leave ASAP. Then time to get to pic location. We did hit traffic on the way to the RH.

So you just have to figure out where youre taking pics, if you are taking them at RH then should be fine. If not then figure out the distances between each place and how long your photographer will want to take pics if you go elsewhere. Then time how long it would take to get from church to RH, or church to pic location then pic location to RH.

yeah we had to take the LIE too bc we had a party bus and had to avoid other highways. We did hit traffic but i didnt mind at all and barely paid attention bc we were all just hanging out having fun on the bus. Plus we had plenty of time to get there so i wasnt worrying. Even with traffic we still got there about 30 mins before CH.

Well Leonards is VERY close to Queens so shouldn't be bad. Are you going to the RH straight from church?

also what time are they picking up the first person? I had the first limo get to DH's house at 1:30pm and ceremony started at 2:30pm. They also had to get to church beforehand to set up the aisle runner and guys do get there about 30 mins beforehand. So figure out what time your FH will have to get picked up, how far is he from the ceremony? and then remember he should get to the church around 30 mins before. ALso is the same limo picking up your girls or anybody else, bc you also have to give them time to pick up others and get to the ceremony on time.

The same party bus that picked up DH and the guys at 1:30pm, came to my house after to pick up my girls and got to my house by 2pm. BUT dh also lived 2 blocks from the church so took 2 mins to get there, the guy also got there early so by 1:30pm they were on their way to the church. I lived about 15 mins away from DH at that time so it was enough time. And since I lived 15 mins away from the church, it was plenty of time to get there by 2:30. So dont think just about after the ceremony, you have to think about all the distances and times before the church and picking everybody up bc the time starts from then.

My ceremony starts at 10:30 and the cocktail hour starts at 12. Then one of the limos would have to pick up fh in the Bronx by Westchester so i guess i would have the limo sent to him by 9:00am its like a 30 minute drive on a good day. We are thinking of no bridal party,so we wouldnt have to have the limo go to different pick up spots. I am 20 minutes away from the church. Im just curious about all this because Camelot quoted me for 3 hrs a 6 passenger for $300 so im wondering if this would be enough for all the driving..

well if the first limo is picking up your FH at 9am, and lets say it takes 30 mins then is it enough time to drop him off, then go pick you up and get to the church by 10:30am. Bc if you are 20 mins away then figure if its a good day and only does take 30 mins to get him to the church, then after it has to go to you and will get to you around 10am lets say, more like 9:50 but you always have to give it a little more time. Then you have 30 mins to get to the church so thats perfect. BUT hopefully it will take him just 30 mins bc then everything else will be delayed. So what i would do is see how long it usually takes around that time the same day of the week youre getting married, such as if its fri, sat or sun. If its fri then i would see how long it takes him from the house to the church at that time, or if its sat or sun the same thing. You dont want him to take an hour bc then that will really delay things.

But otherwise 9am-noon should be just perfect. If you are having just a ceremony at the church, you should be out of there by 11am, then figure a few pics outside and all that, you can get to CH on time.
