Limo? Hotel? Logistics! HELP!

Okay, so here's my situation...

Our ceremony and reception will be a flowerfield....

Our bridal party lives ALL over the place (SI, LI, Manhatten, Queens, Brooklyn, and NJ)

We;'re trying to figure out the logistics of the day...

if we got limo's for everyone, where would it pick everyone up? and if we had everyone meet at one particular spot to meet the limo, how would they get back to their cars after the wedding?

Another idea we were throwing around, was paying for the hotel rooms of our entire bridal party and getting shuttle to/from Flowerfield and skipping the limo...but with a wedding party of 18, the hotel bill would be close to $2000 (which would be much more than limo costs, right?)

MY FH wants to get the hotel rooms for the BP as their gift...but I dont know if I like that idea...I feel like we would be jipping them....
I would want to get the hotels ON TOP of their gifts...but he thinks thats way too much...

What is everyone else doing?

Your BP finds their own ride to you and FH. Whether it be their date, signifiant other, parent, whoever. You are NOT responsible for how they get to you. Also, they can find rides AFTER the wedding from other people as well. If you have BP members whose dates aren't in the BP, they can go home with them. Or other family, etc.

I am not paying for the hotel for my BP, but they all have the option of getting a room and using the shuttle after the reception. So if they'd like to leave their car at the hotel to have it the next morning, they're more than welcome to.

When I was a BM in my friend's wedding, my father dropped me off at her house in the morning, and then I went home with FH at the end of the night (he wasn't in the BP).

You can pay for there hotel and also get them a little somthing else ( nothing crazy) but most of themm will be expecting to pay for there own hotel i would not worry about them going up they can figure that out unless your hotel as ashuttle from the Rg to the hotel at the end of the night
With such a big Bp I would get a bus. Also where is your cermoney ? is it at the RH? I would let the girls come to you and they gm go with Fh on there own

Here's what we are doing:

We are having the wedding in CT, so EVERYONE is an OOTer. We are paying for the BP's hotel rooms the night before and the night of. Luckily, there are some families, couples, and friends in the BP, so each room will have b/t 2 & 4 people.

We are having 1 limo take the girls to the RH (ceremony is there as well), 1 limo take the boys, and 1 limo take family. On the way back, everyone will take the shuttle. FH & I will get a car back through the limo service.

We ARE buying our BP gifts in addition to the rooms. HOWEVER, if we were not doing the rooms, I'd probably spend $100 per bridesmaid. Since we are doing the rooms, I'm going for more along the $50-$60 range per girl.

Have them all check into the hotel and the guys (really dont need to be with Fh all day )the limo can pick them up and then pick up Fh and then go to RH
You will need your girls all day so see if they can get a ride from one or two of the guyswho are at the hotel ( there is not much for them to do) to your house then they can go back to the hotel and another limo can pick you girls up and take you do RH or they cantake a cab toyour house! I would not pay for the hotel but you can pay for the cab if the girls are going to use one!

So then it's their choice. Then you don't have to pay for their room - that's their call. It's only your responsibility to get them to the ceremony and reception. In your case (since you're doing the ceremony at the RH), you only need to get them to the RH.

You DO NOT have to be responsible for getting them to you or getting them home.

yeah...I know...I just thought it would be a nice touch to pay for their rooms..but if we can;t swing it, we can;t swing it....
