LIMO OR NO LIMO on wedding day

LIMO OR NO LIMO on wedding day

who is renting a limo for themself or themself and bridesmaids? I dint really feel a need to ride in a limo the wedding day...it doesnt do anything for me. However, we may take pictures at a different location before the wedding. Would it be a bad idea to drive around in a regular car with a wedding dress on? The image of that sounds kind of funny!!
What do you guys think?

I always dreamed of having a Rolls on my wedding day so we got that and a stretch caddy for the bridal party. It's up to you, but I agree with Jennbaby - it's a one in a lifetime day!!!

We are not doing limos...our ceremony and reception are at the same place. I didn't see the need for a to pay all that money to take a ride for 10 mintues. I contemplated getting a limo to pick FH and I up from reception to take us back to the hotel...but again $150 for a 10 minute ride didn't seem worth it to me.

Do what you can afford and what you feel comfortable with. Good luck.

I would have felt the same way about the limos (our ceremony and reception are in the same place too), but I was part of a bridal party last June that had limos. The ride from the hair salon to the church in the limo with just us girls was so much fun - I don't want to miss out on that with my girls. So I found a way to justify it.

Do what you want. But I do agree that riding around in a regular car in a wedding dress seems a little funny. The other two weddings I was in in June didn't have limos, but the ceremony and reception were in the same place, we didn't go anywhere for pictures, and the bride just got ready at the site.

I personally like the idea of limos but if it's not your thing then don't get them. It's your day and all about what you guys want

My ceremony and reception are in the same place so we're not doing limos. Besides, I went overboard in so many other areas I decided I would cut back here. I'm also not into cars, never really was, never will be so I really don't care either way.

I think we're doing a Rolls or something to pick up FH, his BM (and his wife) and his mom and then come to my house to take me, my MOH and my dad to church (I have no BP). We're going to get a bus to shuttle around out of towners (lots of people coming from London), so after church everyone will go in bus and it will be just him and I in car.

I wouldn't suggest a car if ceremony and site are in same place, but, if not, you definitely need someone to drive from church to reception--so you can KISS the whole way there

It is only one day in your life to splurge so why not get a limo. Enjoy the ride!!!

I'm going to rent a party van for my bridal party and I'm just going to go with them. I don't like limos - they get me a bit nauseous. But it's totally your preference....

Since our ceremony and reception are at the same place, I decided that he and I will take a limo together with his daughter to the hall. I am going to also try and get the limo to pick us up. I gave this to my sister for her wedding and the limo co. (cant remember their name) charged me $75 each way. It was definately worth it.
