Limo procedure question

Limo procedure question

Can anyone tell me the usual procedure for people who came to the reception in a limo to get home? Such as my parents, his parents and us. Do the limos you came in come back for you or do you get other ones to pick you up after the reception? Or do you just get a ride from someone. I'm totally confused about this and want to get an opinion before I say anything to my fiance. Thanks!

Re: Limo procedure question

Well with my Limo company we are having a Limo for the my parents and some elderly close relatives and we only have the Limos for 3 hours so they will not have the limos to go back home in. If you are willing to pay for extra hours for limos to pick everyone up then go for it.

But what my parents are doing is just driving there car up to the reception hall earlier in the day and leaving it there so they'll have there car there to go home in.

Same here, most people that are going to be in the limo will either have their spouse drive them home or will drop off their cars prior to the reception.

I am going to get a limo or a town car to drive myself, FH, mom, dad, and any other relative that needs it back to my house.

Some limo companies will throw in a 'post reception' car for free. I haven't booked yet but this is something I will be looking to get.

Re: Limo procedure question

Many limo companies will have what they call a 'repick' in the contract (my dad used to own a limousine business) The only thing I'd keep an eye out for is if they are sending a limo to do the repick or if they are sending a town car. Many companies will give you the impression you'll get a limo but you'll wind up with a town car (my dad was one of the few companies who would send back a limo)

Re: Limo procedure question

We will be having a small car come to get us after the reception. This is a little cheaper then having a limo come and pick us up later. As for the parents, I have told them to arrange to have a family member drive them home after the reception. We have a lot of family and they are close to each other so this should not be a problem.
