Limo question

Hey girls,

Was just quoted 190 (including tax) for a limo to bring me, my 4 bridesmaids, and 2 moms from the Courtyard Marriott in Farmingdale to the Riviera in Massapequa (about a 15 minute drive). The limo company is also located in Farmingdale. Did I get ripped off? I have no idea what this should cost and hate haggling with vendors on the phone. Thanks in advance!!

Re: Limo question

I have to admit that I don't know if that's high - truthfully, I think the limo prices are ridiculous. When we were looking at limos, I did not say that I was a wedding and instead that I needed a limo for x hours and were getting ours for about $100 per hour.

Is that a quote for 15 minutes are for 3 hours?

Try Anthony at NY Style limo. He gave me the best pricing for limos and a shuttle for the hotel to rh and back.

The quote is for them to pick us up at the hotel and bring us to the Riviera. Should not take more than an hour. Also, it's the same limo company that you're using...

That's a great idea - I should have done that!

I told them it was a wedding but requested it is priced this way. They warned me that I won't get the runner and some other wedding specials but since I am getting married at the RH, it won't matter anyway. We booked a party bus that will take us all to the RH, then serve as our shuttle for guests from the hotel.

One of the only reasons they charge more for weddings is because of all that extra novelty stuff, but I don't think it's necessary if all you need is a shuttle :)

Re: Limo question

I am using the same company. The limo I am getting is $200/hr for an infinity 20 passenger limo.

I'm sure you can find a cheaper quote; however, that price includes the travel time, the worker and the type of limo you are getting. You also have to think about the rising cost of gas and how much it probably takes to fill up a limo cause I'm sure they don't get many miles per gallon. Plus, they are a good company so you are paying for quality service. And the word WEDDING defintely brings it up too as other people mentioned! It brings everything up!

I'd call around to see what others are offering for the same service!
