Is anybody else doing limos just for the wedding party and not their dates? As it is, including FH & I, there are 15 people....and we dont want a party bus and if we had the wedding party plus their dates in the limo there wont be enough room. I was told that we are not responsible for their dates, is that true? Can anyone help me out here?!

My FH was in a wedding, and I followed behind the limo in the car. I didn't expect to ride in the limo with them. FH actually rode in the car with me, because the limo was full to capacity....

ok cool....there is definitely enough room for us plus the wedding party because it's an escalade limo...but there definitely isnt enough room for their dates and i was starting to freak out. thanks!

I've never heard of getting a limo to accomodate the dates as well. Plus- if they're all in the limo..how will they get home?? Everytime I was in a BP- my date met me there.
we have two couples in our BP and they'll be in the limo together, but htey need to find someone to take them home.

ok...well we are having two 10 passenger limos coming to Jericho Terrace after the reception to bring the wedding party, me and FH, and my parents back to Massapequa and then the same two limos are bringing everyone to the Melville Marriott.

No you are not responible for their dates. We did ask a few of the wives/girlfriends of the GM because they are from out of town but they said NO (which I don't blame them) they will drive together.

Ditto!! Never heard of accomodating dates of the BP.

just BP in limo, we are going all over for picts so SOs will go back to hotel and hand or pregame or whatever

We are not supplying their dates with rides either. Any wedding i've ever been in the bridal party only goes in the bus or limo that way too they have a ride home at night if transportation isn't provided. We are getting a big bus but we aren't having their significant others come on it.

No there is no need to put the BP's dates in the limo in my opinion. FH was the best man in a wedding last year and I followed the limo and when I was the MOH in my sister's wedding FH followed behind. HTH!

i've never been to or in a wedding party where the dates were in the limo's. usually they rode in their own cars.

Oh crap, I didn't even consider the dates. I guess they will have to find their own way. It's better anyway as once the limos leave they need to have their own car accessible to go home or to the afterparty etc.

oh no i didn't even think of this.
i hope my bridal party dates don't think they can come in the limo. we wont have enough room plus my 2 cousins who are in the bridal party and one of fh's friends who is a groomsmen will be the only one who have dates not in the bridal party. i have never met my cousins girlfriend and my other cousins boyfriend and i know fh's friend is just going to bring some girl who we both dont know (if he actually decides to bring anyone)
so i don't want them in the limo, or just hanging out in our bridal suite while we are taking pics. i find that weird

how do you mention it though to your bridal party that their dates are not allowed in the limo? cause i can just see it now my aunt telling my cousins boyfriend or girlfriend to go with us in the limo

You aren't responsible for the dates. That is totally on them for how they get to the wedding. We are just taking care of our bridal party.

IMO It would be easier for everyone if the dates drive their own car, then the members of your BP will have a ride home and it will also be easier on the budget.

we are having 2 limos coming after the reception to bring everyone back to my house and FH's house and then those same 2 limos are taking us all to the hotel.
