limo question-preference to proms??

hi i don't know if anyone else has encountered this in their limo search but i figured i'd ask anyway. i called 2 limo companies so far and both have said 'oh that's a prom night'...one company said 'oh i couldn't even book you now, you would have to call me in march and i'd like u know if we have something available' and another company (i'm interested in a limo bus or possibly an suv) told me that they could book me but i would have to pay an extra $125 for a service attendant that would assist us (this is usually an option) but i would have to hire them definitely to clean out the bus before they go pick up a prom and as long as they dropped us off by around 5:30, 6PM at our reception hall it would work out...i understand that limo companies make wayyy more money off a prom rather than a 3 hour wedding package and i understand that but was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? tia

Go to Camelot. They were very professional and Joe is a down to earth guy.

i dont like the sound of that. you are just as much of a customer as they are. first come first serve right? why is everything about money? these businesses just want to get the better deal. BOOOO

i know and i'm not really complaining it was more a wonder if anyone else who's getting married during 'prom season' has come across the same problem...the second vendor i called actually proposed the 'service attendant' idea only after i told him about my problem with the first vendor i had called...they confirmed that 'yes it's a big prom night'...prior to that he was ready to book me...which only makes me think that any company i do go with will probably book a prom after me...which i don't really care what they do after they drop me off it's just a little uncomfortable being under such a strict time restraint and having to pay extra for it!

in my opinion, a vendor should try and do anything to get your business. not tell you they will only do it 'IF'.

that doesnt sound right . You should also check the BBB.org on them It sounds shady. I have heard that Camelot is good and M&V. I am using Sir Oliver. Good luck with your search.

you're right i should probably go with a 'wedding' limo company or a vendor on here as opposed to more a general limo company...neither were vendors on here but both had the crazy limo bus w/ the stripper pole which i thought would be fun and roomy for my bridal party...i guess that's probably popular with proms nowadays...i went to mine in a superstretch but i guess that's considered old school now!!
