Re: Limo Tipping?
I don't have a shuttle bus, but when we booked we asked the manager for suggested tips. She said to tip about $25 per hour. We have a 20 pass. hummer for 3 hours and are tipping $75, classic car for 2 hours and tipping $50 and the courtesy car at the end of the night $30 (went a little more since it was included in our package.
I have never used a shuttle but would your guests tip? Make sure no tips are included in your contract.

Re: Limo Tipping?
wow 25/hr is a lot for a tip, don't you think? especially when half the time is spent waiting around?? they already charge me a service fee which they say is part of his hourly pay+ fuel & stocking of the vehicle because he is paid by the hour...but i have my rolls for 5 hrs which would be 225 for a tip and my party bus for the bridal party and parents which is 6 hrs or 250 if it's 25/hr...thats more than i was planning to tip my DJ/MC (125/each) and they are gonna be working a lot harder than the driver? ...am i wrong??

Re: Limo Tipping?
overall i was planning to tip: altar boys- 20/ea visitng priest- 100 donation each photographer (2)- 125/ea DJ/MC- 125/ea lighting guy- 100 percussionist- 125 jazz band (cocktail hour)- 4 piece 50/ea trumpet player for church- 20 dog sitter- 20 flower delivery- 30-50
the church told me not to tip the organist and cantor because they pay them as part of the 600 cost...i thini my dad will be taking care of the maitre D and bridal attendant but i was thinking like 700 and 150 respectively for them?

Re: Limo Tipping?
We do not have any service fees. If we did, my tip amounts would be different.
Our hummer is $800 for 3 hours. No tax since it is considered a bus. If we tipped 18% we would give a tip of $144, so I think $75 is a great amount for a tip. The hummer will be picking up the guys and driving them 15 minutes to the church, picking up me and my girls (another 10 minutes each way), will have an hour wait during the full mass, and then driving 35 minutes to the hall.

I think the photographer's should get more since they are working a 10-12 hour day and then need to edit your photos. Another thing to take into account, if they are the owner or an employee (so many what ifs....arggggg)
For the Maitre D, it really depends upon your final guest count. They expect $3-5 per guest.

Limo Tipping?
Hmm our limo's tip/service fees are included in our total price. We asked the lady we dealt with about additional tips and she said that it is entirely up to us but not mandatory and if we gave anything $50 is more than good.
