We're looking for limo's right now and I am confused. It's down to two places, about the same price, one includes a 20% gratuity, the other does not. The one that doesn't is arguing that the companies that incl. the grat. never really give the drivers the money.
Do you think this is true? Will you be tipping the drivers on the date of your wedding, even if you paid the 20% grat? I know this is talked about on here a lot, but I could really use some advice. Thanks!

Re: Limo tipping & gratuity
I was told that the gratuity was included in my contract, but I can give extra the day of if I feel it is warranted or deserved.
We'll have to wait until the day of to decide whether or not my drivers will get more

Did you happen to ask if all 20% of the grat. goes directly to the drivers? I am meeting with Camelot next week and am going to try to nail down where that money actually goes.

I didn't ask, but I am booked with Camelot and Joe said I don't *have* to tip anything the day of......but if I want to give extra I can.

Re: Limo tipping & gratuity
We just booked our limo and gratuity was not included in the price; the owner told us we can tip the driver whatever we want.
We went to another place and they said gratuity was included and that the money goes directly to the driver. I don't know how true it is but if we did book them we would have still given the driver something the day of just to ensure good service.

Re: Limo tipping & gratuity
Our gratuity was included. We had 3 drivers and I gave each of them $20 on top of what was included. I have no idea if that was good or bad or what, it's just what I did.

Re: Limo tipping & gratuity
I was thinking if I tip I would give like 100 to my driver and 50 to my parents
