limo vent

URGH!!! FH and I are so upset!
At the bridal showcase we checked out the limo buses outside and spoke with one company for almost 45 minutes, my mother fell in love with the guy and his wife and sister, they gave us their flat rate plus their over-time and told us to contact them and they'd work out a better price. Well after weeks of me emailing them and them saying to call before 5:00 (I can't call while at work) we finally get them to set up an appointment. FH and I drive all the way out to medford, finally find this place and pull into the driveway, where there is a man walking around on a cell phone, while helping another man, he tells us he'll be right with us, so we wait. we walk towards the bus and he comes out and says we can go on it. So we go on and he tells us it needs to be cleaned (it wasn't that dirty) and tries remembering all the selling points of the bus, which we already knew from speaking to his son at the expo. mind you 'dad' owned the business then sold it to his son and retired. We come to find out that son and wife are on vacation and that dad is covering... he has no clue whats what and flat out told us this.
Well we go inside to try and work out a price, he tells us its $900 + 20% then each additional hour is $150 (we need it an additional 3 hours)... at the expo we were told $900 FLAT and $100/add hour. He called his son to ask the price and his son said thats the price, no neg.

We left.... we drove 45 minutes for THAT!? so while driving back we decide to stop into another place local to me, which when I had contacted had said to just walk in anytime... so we did.
The guy we spoke to spoke like he was trying to put us to sleep... he wrote out prices and told us that 'they'll' work with you... WHO is 'THEY' and why can't YOU?
after talking to us for about 15 minutes he finally says they is his boss. it ends up this bus is $900+20%, then each additional hour is $200+20%. The total came out to about $1680, plus their towncar that's 'included' is another $35.00... whatever, he shows us the bus... it was FILTHY! Gum stuck to the floors, the seats looked SLIMY! it smelled like... just ew! so now this guys boss is supposed to contact me today!

I am TOTALLY kicking myself! I knew we should have booked with Joe at Camelot! but we were nervous because they bus would have to be on the road after dropping us off by 5:00... which means we'd be rushed.
But I don't think we have much of a choice. its ether BEG joe to hook us up, go with a company that doesn't have many reviews (and the one review I found wasn't that great) but they are CHEAP, OR we just say screww it and have everyone drive themselves!

wow that stinks..did you contact other companies? Designer Limo, Royalty. Cruise Control, Legacy, MetroStar, ??? There are so many. that would give you better prices than that!

My limo company is not a vendor on here, nor do they have a lot of reviews, but my sister used them and they were great. FM me if you want info.

Re: limo vent

I've posted on the vendor board... we lost count as to how big we need.. we think 24.

who's on:
(1)
(1)
(1) MOH
(1) BstMan
(4) BM
(4) GM
(2) FG
(2) RB
(1) MOB
(1) FOB
(1) MOG
(1) FOG
so we're at... 20
PLUS FH has family coming from Italy, so far there's 3 but there could be more and they're riding with us... so we need something BIG!

and we need it for almost 6 hours

They were really nice and gave me an amazing price for an escalade. When I went last night all of their cars were there including the bus.

I have a party bus from Camelot that would fit that many people, why don't you call them? I don't think they're the types that would be unavailable when you come in to meet with them or anything....

we met with them... their bus is being used from 6-10.. so we'd be rushed off... but I did love joe, so if nothing else, we'll beg him to help us.

I know they have at least 2 buses, are both of them being used?

I used RJ Limos in Wantagh for my HS prom, I remember, and we got a nice party bus, I would try them if Camelot doesn't work out.
