Limos

Just trying to figure out somethings with my budget.

What is everyone doing about Limo's?? I'm planning on having my ceremony & reception at the Hall. I won't need any driving around i really don't even want a Limo but FH wants one! Another person on the BHB board that they're getting one for $175 with just a pick up and drop off. I could defintetely do that; just have it pick me up & then take us back to where ever we're staying that night.

But what about bridal parties?? My girls can ride with me; but is it selfish to ask him & his groomsmen to get to the hall their own way? Is that what people usually do?? Of course FH wouldn't drive his own car; but can't he ride with one of his friends??

I'm planning on having pictures taken before the wedding with our seperate families if possible; so we'll be at the hall earlier than guests so they're not gonna see him getting out of a 'regular' car. Just trying to get an idea of what everyone else is planning! Thanks!

Well I am planning on getting a partybus that will transport us, the WP and their guests, our parents and possibly a few others. I believe for the most part, a lot of our guests are going to be staying at the hotel near the RH which will have shuttle service to and from the hotel, so we won't be needing to provide transportation back after the reception. FMIL said that if it winds up some of the OOT guests would prefer not to stay at the hotel and go back to the neighborhood (it's 45 mins away) we will figure out some means of transportation for those guests. But I know that FH and I, a lot of our friends, and most of my family have said that they'd stay at the hotel because it's just easier.

Some couples prefer to have their own private transportation to the RH after the ceremony and get a separate limo for the WP but that is totally up to you. For us, we would rather just save the $$ on that and just hitch a ride with the WP on the Partbus - plus I think it will be kind of fun.

Thanks!! My ceremony & reception is at the same place so it's more an issue of getting to the hall for the ceremony and then going home afterwards. FH was in a wedding here in NY and from what i can remember i met him at the church but the whole WP rode in the limo's together.
