OK... so I'm not sure what to do about this one... we're getting married at The Woodlands and there are literally like 3 hotels under a mile from the front door. The night before FH and I will be staying in one of these hotels (not sure which one...and not together) and we were going to have our bridal parties meet us there to get ready... What do we do about limos? Is it worth it to get a limo to drive us less than half a mile? If not how do we get everyone there? I can't see asking my BMs to drive themselves over there in their dresses after they have had their hair and makeup done...
Should I just get my hair and makeup done at the hotel and then get dressed at The Woodlands and have the girls do the same?

Is the BP staying at the Hotel - were you all planning to get ready there?
If you are getting married there as well i wouldn't get them because if your BP is going to be all over it isn't worht it

Yes, the ceremony is at the same place...
I was going to give the BP the option to stay if they wanted to... if not I was just going to tell them what time to meet me at the hotel for their hair and makeup...
Maybe depending on what time The Woodlands lets us come in I could just have them have their hair and makeup done there...
What should be the simplest decisions always end up being the most difficult!!

I'm in the same situation now. Trying to pick out a hotel in the same area. I think I may go with the Marriott in Melville though. So its about 5 miles away. FH and I think we are going to get a party bus for pick up and drop off service only. I know at least 20 people will be staying at the hotel...so it may be worth it. Of course I haven't received any quotes on the limo bus yet, and feel its a waste of money...but what can you do? Maybe the hotel can recommend something more budget friendly.

Some hotels offer a shuttle but do you really want to get into an hotel shuttle with your dress on. Many limo companies will offer you a nice car ( a lincoln) for a really good price If your bridesmaids can get there on their own. If not maybe you can use the hotel shuttle for them and get the car for yourself.

Hmm I think this depends partially on who is in your BP. Do you think they will all be drinking & partying a lot? Or do you think they will be more low key? If they are the crowd to drink, I wouldn't ask them to drive at all b/c you don't want drunk driving to be part of your day.
JMHO, I'm very opposed to driving unless one is stone cold sober.

You def. only need ONE limo. The limo can bring the boys to the RH..go back and get the girls. So you'll save money that way.
I would get the limo- it would make everything so much easier and no one would have to worry about who's driving.

Thanks everyone! I definitely like the one limo suggestion... you're right there is no point in getting two and I wouldn't want to show up at the same time as my FH anyway so the photographer can get those 'first meeting' shots!
