Limos...how is everone working out there transportation?
So the next and last major vendor I have to book is limos. This is giving me major anxiety!
I plan to get ready at a hotel near my RH. Then off to pic loc, then RH. I dont plan to get a hotel block bcuz I really am not having any OOT guests. The few I will have will stay will family.
So my anxiety comes when I think about everyone (BP, fam) getting to the hotel which I guess will be our meeting spot. Everyone whos there leaves their cars at the hotel and then make arrangements for them to get back to there cars at end of night? I also stress about how BP members significants others will work out getting to the wedding since our BP will be off with us getting ready and taking pix. I know I shouldnt stress that too much bcuz they shld work it out but I still do anyways. I also have no idea what Ill need. Shoud I get limos or a bus to hold everyone?? So confused! lol
Thanks for my small vent and scatterbrained post...
So, what is everyone doing and how are u working out the details for everyone? What type of transportation are u having for the day of??

A bus is probably the best idea, I'm doing everything at one location so I am not doing limos or anything but my best friend/ MOH is getting married next year and i know she said she would be doing a party bus for the bridal party and their significant others/dates so that they wouldn't be left be themselves to find transportation and all that..

ugh! who knows!
we will probably carpool people to the hotel- leaving some cars there and some @ each of our houses to get ready, so that we can ride the shuttle back from RH to hotel @ end of night and still have cars to get back wherever the AM after?
Then we have to figure what size limos we need to get everyone to reveal & RH !

I don't know either. Maybe a limo to the hotel and then to the RH? At my friend's wedding the guys took the limo first and then us so it was only one limo.
Personally I have no idea because I'll get ready at home and then the ceremony and reception are in one spot. Anytime I was in a wedding or went to one, FH drove me home (if I was in it , otherwise I drove once or twice) so people HAVE to get home somehow either way. I doubt my BP will stay in a hotel and not every immediately family member will either. I was hoping maybe I could go meet with a limo company and see if it's worth getting one to just take us to the RH and then take the guys too in one limo. It might not be worth it at all!

where is the bus picking them up and dropping them off? This isn't a bad idea except would everyone get picked up at my house? Then they have to get home from there! lol

Well, when FH was in a BP and I wasn't...I drove him to where he needed to be, then I found something to do until the ceremony started and I drove home at the end of the night. It wasn't a big deal. I was happy to do it. (It's not everyday you get to see FH in a tux.)
I think you're over thinking this a bit. Tell your BP to find rides to the initial meeting spot and from the RH to their homes. Most of them should be able to work it out, if they can't they'll let you know. (Odds are the rides will be their significant others, so don't worry about transporting them!)

Re: Limos...how is everone working out there transportation?
We just did all of this last week!! We booked a trolley with cruise control limos. We booked a trolley bc it seats 26 ( we have 16 including us in our bp). I will be able to sit down without any worry about someone stepping on my dress. We booked 2 blocks at 2 different hotels bc we are getting married way out east and each hotel would only allow you to book the max 25 rooms. We were going to start planning our bus to pick everyone to and from the hotel but I realized we can't do that until we have a better idea of how many people are going to stay overnight. I think you only need to think about your Bp right now. Call the hotel you want to grt ready at and ask them if they would provide a shuttle to and from your hall if you book a block with them. There is no harm is making a block. All of the places that I looked at just told me that whatever rooms were not booked up, they would release to the public 30 days before the event. If you book a certain amount of rooms under your block, some hotels provide a free shuttle.l

I wouldn't worry too much about the BP significant others. They will figure out their transportation on their own. My fiance' was just in his best friend's wedding and they were driven in a car to the ceremony/RH. The girls were in a limo, I believe.
My parents actually drove me and dropped me off at the ceremony and at the end of the night, the bride and groom provided a party bus to the after party and hotel.

Re: Limos...how is everone working out there transportation?
I just booked our limo today. I met with Rob at Lancelot Limos and I could not be more impressed with the customer service. I wasn't sure how to work out our whole wedding day since I am getting ready at my mom's house but getting married at Carlyle. Its a short ride, but I needed something to take my bridesmaids and also transport the groomsmen and groom from the next town over. Rob was able to work with me about coordinating what made the best sense and was the best price for my situation. I'm really happy with my choice to book with them.

Limos are one of the last major vendors that I need to book and I'm definitely not looking forward to it. FMIL is an amputee and I worry about her being comfortable. I know that a regular limo is not going to be easy for her to get in and out of. So this is going to be a little difficult
