Lindenhurst...Venetian Shores

Hi, FH & I just found an apt. in Lindenhurst & its a new area to both of us. It's about 8 blocks from that cool park/beach & we'll move April 1.

I just wanted to know if anyone lives out that way or how shopping is there, laundrymats, restaurants, etc.

Rough 3 months though commuting to teach uptown Manhattan (108th Street!)

I grew up in Lindenhurst. Its a great area because there is soooo much around. Just go on Montauk Hwy and you will find everything you need!

Me too!!! Everything you will need will be close by, and the beach/park is really nice.

We bought in Lindenhurst last year. We LOVE it! Lots of shopping choices and for eating out we head up to Huntington Village or to nearby Babylon Village.
