Are you ladies getting them? What exactly is a lined envelope? Do you think it's necessary?

Re: Lined Envelopes?
i wanted to get this, i think it adds to the fanciness, and you cant see the invite thru the envelope. but since i decided to save money & order my invites from vistaprint, i decided i can do without it (budget bride here lol)

Ahhhhh- ok. I get it. I'm not sure whether I would need it- I'm doing metallic outer envelopes. Do you think it's necessary?

Re: Lined Envelopes?
Lined envelopes usually has a second color or pearlized lining inside when you open it. It is nice but necessary I'm not sure I received several invited that weren't lined. I think mine are lined with blue. I don't really think anyone is really going to notice if you don't

its totally unneccesary, but it does make the invitations look/feel nicer. it makes them heavier, which makes the quality seem better

I can honestly say that of the 8364 wedding invitations that I've received that I've never once noticed whether or not the envelope was lined, so for me it is totally not necessary! But if its something you want and is in your budget, go for it!

I completely agree with you. I never knew what the hell a lined envelope was until now. Nor did I pay and attention to the envelope that held any wedding invite. I'm not doing it! YAY! I save money!

Re: Lined Envelopes?
im making my own invites with a Brides kit and the envelope they came with isnt that nice (it's really thin and flimsy) so i'm going to use them as 'inner' envelopes and buy lined ones either from envelopemall.com or lcipaper.com to put the whole invite in.

Originally i was going to do this because i thought it would make the invite more elegant. I then decided agaisnt it in order to save money. I really dont think people will notice
