Linens and Things vs. BBB

I see that most people are registering at BBB. Is there a big difference in the selections between Linens and Things and BBB? Is the return policy better at one store then the other? I am just not sure which store I should register at.

They seem to have almost the exact same stuff....I just personally love BBB....They send tons of coupons....you can use up to 5 coupons in one purchase...and they are always so helpful in there!!

We registered at Linens & Things and it was ok. Main reason we did it was because DH's Aunt worked there so we could put on her discount, our 20% completition rate & a 20% coupon and it came to 60% off!! How can I beat it.
My beef with BBB is that they don't give gift recipts, it drives me nuts because let say someone buys you a coffee maker off your registry and gets you coffee mugs that aren't on your registry. Well then when you try and return the coffee mugs you don't get cash, you get a gift card. LNT ALWAYS gives gift recipts with any registry order.

I personally like BBB better. Better prices, more coupons. They have most of the same stuff. I just love BBB. I registered there and Fortunoff's. The BBB website is alot easier to add things and views ur registry rather than Linens and Things, and I feel like when ever I go into a Linens anf things, stuff is all scattered and not in its proper place.

how would you know how easy it is to add items online to a LNT registry if you didn't register there??? Actually LNT was easier, I found MACYS a pain to add items to a registry.

Sorry for not being clear......If say you purchase 5 items..5 coupons can be applied...and they are always applied to the items that are the highest amounts

so you can use up to 5 coupons

Same here. Plus we loved their selection & their coupons. As many items you have, you can use a coupon for!

that was one of our reasons to choice BBB. I like the selection better too. i have bought gifts for other showers i have been to and just didn't like LNT that much. We had a good experience with BBB, so I recommend them. Macy's was our other place and no complaints there either.

we went with bbb because it was physically closer to us, for the registry process. we also went with them because when we were looking around, they treated us the best.

we found out about the 'money back' thing *happily* by accident.

this was a great post! i was just looking at registry stuff last night. it seemed like bbb had a lot of stuff! i was also considering macys because of the selection but i heard if u register too early a lot of the items become unavailable, is this true?

does bbb give u the original amount of the gift in cash or the current selling price of the item (like say it went on sale that week or something)???

I was a tad bit annoyed the other day when I bought a housewarming gift. I do not know if he is going to like it so I asked for a gift receipt and got a very snotty answer, that had he opened up a housewarming registry (what males do this) he could just return it...otherwise if he returns it it will be for a gift card....did not like that or her attitude!!!!

I just deleted my target registry to change it to BBB. Too many nice things were said about it and it wasn't much more then target in most spots. Plus tons of selection.

So maycs and BBB for me!
