We are getting a bartender but we are not having a totally open bar. We are chosing about 10 drinks to have. Any suggestions on what to have?

I would do house red and white wine, sparkling wine, 2-4 different beers; 2 lights 2 regular
Instead of choosing 10 drinks why not choose 1-2 hard liquors (vodka, gin, whiskey) and just buy all the mixers (sodas, juices) that way its not open bar but common mixed drinks are present

Thats a great idea with the hard liquor and mixers. Thats what Im talking about mostly. I just don't know what's good to mix. Besides rum and coke and orange juice and vodka.
