LIRR Commuters

Anyone else not used to all of the schedule changes yet? I miss my old times. Now I get home 3 minutes later. In the morning I take this new express train but it is so crowded, there are people standing in the aisles.

My morning train is now 3 minutes earlier and it really makes a difference not having those few minutes in the morning And they added 3 stops to it so it's also MUCH more crowded; I don't like change

Nothing has changed on my end except for my Friday train home. It went from the 5:09 to Speonk (I get off at Babylon) to the 5:10 to Montauk... I usually leave a few minutes earlier to catch the 4:52 to Babylon to avoid all of the weekend people heading out east.

What lines are you guys on?

I'v been spared the LIRR this week but next week I'm back on it Mon. and Tues.

I hope they didn't change the trains to and out of Hunterspoint.

Make sure to check b/c my train is a Hunterspoint train that I get off of at Jamaica to get to Penn...

Nothing has changed for me either. I take the 7:21 from Babylon in the morning, and take either the 5:59 home at night or the 5:22 to Deer Park depending on what time I get out of work...

None of my trains changed.

I used to take the 7:19 from Huntington to Brooklyn. Now it's 7:18. The new express is at 7:36.

In the afternoon I take the 5:29 from Brooklyn to Huntington. Now it's the 5:31 and has been late everyday.

I'm on the track across from you everyday, the 5:35 W. Hempstead I take to Jamaica! And mine is late EVERY day lately, i think it's because we are always waiting for your train to go first!

okay, i didn't even realized the trains changed....Did the Bab. branch change?

I know my morning one didn't change the 6:47...

I hate that they change them so often.

1. I always forget and either miss or stand outside forever waiting.

2. I feel like it's such a waste of paper to print the schedules every 6 weeks or whatever it is.

OMG HATE IT.
I used to get on and get any seat I wanted (originated in Huntington). Express so it was 2 more stops and we were done. Now it comes as a double decker from Port Jeff, almost totally full. Then we transfer at Jamacia to a train that comes about 30 sec after we arrive (so scared to find out what will happen when this train gets in late!!).

Then we transfer to a packed train that sometimes I sit, sometimes I stand.
HATTTTTTTTTTTTE.
My commute so much more stressful now

But at least we get in earlier so I'm not as rushed. But I'd rather have my direct route. And the sucky thing is EVERY train transfers at Jamacia unless I arrive at like 7:30 or 8:30. Ugh.

Thankfully my evening train the same as before.

I hate this bs lol

mine is a minute earlier in the morning...but it gets in 1 min earlier.

the one on the way home...its 4 min later...although before the time change it was basically always late...but the train still doesnt leave penn on time...it always leaves 2-3 min later grrrrr.
