We have been monitoring a situation on the Long Island Railroad where a fire disrupted train service earlier today. There are major delays expected during rush hour, and there is very limited train service from Penn Station and Atlantic Terminal to Jamaica Station. Currently, there is no connecting service available at Jamaica Station. The Port Washington line is the only line operating normally. Police are expecting large crowds in Penn Station for the evening rush hour, and 33rd Street has been closed by the NYPD for crowd control. You can get home just not all the trains are running. I got the 501 Ronkonkoma.
