LIRR question??

I just found out that my line, the Port Washington line is not running at all!! Does anyone know anything about this??? My school was cancelled today but i don't know how I am going to get to work tomorrow Any info would be helpful.

i'm not on the port wash line, but you should subscribe to the email alerts at mta.info . they'll send you updates on what's going on with the line so you can always plan ahead.

you can also find out on the website if they're providing buses to shuttle customers, which they'll usually do.

Here's the latest from the LIRR:

They cancelled trains on that line because they weren't running any trains between Jamaica and Penn Station after all of the trains got stuck yesterday. I was surprised to see a number of people in the office today from Long Island.

I'm sure it will be fixed by tomorrow's rush hour.
