LIRR question
A 7:09p train is still off-peak right? Even though it's a holiday?
And does anyone know what subway we would take from Penn to Metro 53 (53rd b/w 1st and 2nd)?

709 is off peak, and you would take the E train from Penn station to lexington Ave. That'll leave you on lex and 53rd ST.

Thanks! I just looked at the subway map and figured it out too! (I'm so excited, I thought I was subway map illiterate)..
So I want to get off at 53rd and lex, not 53rd and 5th?

Yup. I actually think if you're in the front of the E train it'll leave you closer to 3rd Ave than lex. Have fun!!

i could be wrong, but aren't all LIRR trains free on nye? to cut down on drunk driving into the city?

i remember when i used to go to the city for nye's we never paid for LIRR..

it will, and use the escalator down there...don't follow the crowds back to lex.
