And my poor FH is stuck in the city for now. Subways are all messed up, too, so he didn't want to take a chance of getting stuck on the subway or at Jamaica.
He's not very happy right now. I feel so bad for him.
I hope he gets on his way home soon.

Well, there are signal problems and there is also either downed braches or downed powerlines across the tracks b/w Bkly and Jamaica.
Fh just got on the subway to Jamaica. If there are no trains running by the time he gets there, I will go pick him up. It's only 20 mins or so from home.
for all the poor commuters.
My MOH was stuck at Woodside for about an hour and also got on the subway to Jamaica. I hope they both make it okay.

no wonder it just took me over an hour to get to queens from the city....go figure, the one day i go home!!! the traffic is crazzyyy especially going east.

WOW i usually take the LIRR home, thank god i didn't but uhmmm i had a horrible commute to so doesn't matter lol. I met FH in the city and we had to take the V train to where his car was parked, yeah waited at least 20 mins for the V until they announced it wasn't working. Then we went to take the R which takes us a little past where we have to go but we said we'll just jump on another train to take it back one stop...yeah the R took another 25-30 mins...it was a sauna in the station and we were there for about 45 mins...after we got to his house we had to drive to mine, usually its a 15 min ride, it took about an hour and 15 mins it was so bad out there.
