list of everything you need a song to?

hi girls! I had my first wedding nightmare last night! We walked into the reception hall and there was NO music because we forgot to give the DJ the song to play! .. So this made me think that I need to write a list of everything we need a song for!

Can you ladies help me add to it?

So far I have:

Guests walking into the church
Parents being seated
Wedding party reaching the alter
My walk up the aisle
The unity candle lighting
When we are walking back down the aisle

When we enter the reception
garter removal
cutting of the cake
dollar dance

and is that it? if not, please add your thoughts!!

first dance
mother son dance
bo-k toss

i think you have it all covered there... and with what freda added.


ETA: oh ..unless you are doing seperate songs for you and the bridal party for entering the reception.. some people do 1 for the parents, then the BP, then you and FH. i think that's it though!

oh you're doing the dollar dance??? I wanted to do it but FH said NO :(

aw, my FHs dad and step mom did it at there wedding so we thought we would do it for a little tradition! but tell your FH that you get money to dance with all his aunts! and you get to meet everyone!

The dollar dance is when you and FH are in the middle of the dance floor and theres two lines, one of men and one of ladies.. the ladies pay to dance with your FH and the men pay to dance with you! there supposed to give a dollar, which is usually handed to the best man or the maid of honor.. HTH!

Does your DJ at least let you know when you typically need songs played? I would never have thought of any of these!

I think my DJ does online, but its not something I can print out, so its hard to make a list
