LIST of Must Take Pictures

OMG this entire thread is getting printed out ASAP!

I agree that photographers will get kinda of annoyed if you bring a huge list with you (it's their job to know the important shots to take).

I would bring a list of unique shots that you would want to take (like random wedding shots or poses you found on the internet that you would like to do that aren't of the norm). Bring some of those types of pictures with you when you meet with your photographer and then tell them that you want all the usual shots and they will know what you are talking about.

Also something to keep in mind, you should have a list of shots you don't want. For example, if you have divorced parents and your dad remarried, you may not want your mother and your step mother in the same picture.

I was just going to tell my photographer certain poses i liked...
like for example i LOVE when the bride and groom take a pic where the groom is under the brides veil and they kiss... LOVE
and also Ive seen a group family shot where the bride and groom are in the middle and the family is all cheering- then its edited so bride and groom are in color and everyione else is in B&W. LOVE LOVE.
arent these the only type of things I need to tell my photographer or should I tell him EVERYTHING!!!!?

yes... the photographer will know they have to take all those other kind of shots without you telling him/her. Just let him know of the special shots you would like (like the veil shot you mentioned).

BTW, that group shot you mentioned with the bride and groom in the middle IMO would be best if taken right outside the church (if you are having a church wedding)... that's where most photographer's get that shot because everyone is already grouped together right outside the church.
