Im putting together a list of questions for my friend to ask when visiting venues for her wedding. She is having a wedding out of state, so some of the questions will differ from here, but some would be the same. Any suggestions of what to put on the list will be appreciated!!!!

How many servers/bartenders per guest What the servers/bartenders will wear Overtime charge Cancellation Policy Payment Terms- deposit, etc Forms of payment they accept Minimums What happens if you dont meet the minimum Start of event, end of event What time can you arrive to start taking pictures Are kids or vendors included in minimum Are direction cards provided Will they put out table numbers, favors, menus that you bring

Will they accept cash for part or all of the reception and forgive the tax? Bathroom baskets provided? Food tastings?

hey I did talk to them about it and I think they said 2 bartenders- I have my notes at home, I'll check later and let you know.

Tasting Before you Book or After? Room Capacity? # of People Per Table? Where the Band/DJ will be set up? How many servers/bussers per table? How many bar tenders? Do your guests have access to the whole site throughout the affair or are they asked to stay in the required areas? What is included in the price per head? Is gratuity added on after the tax is added? And, does that include all gratuities (usually Banquet Manager and Bridal Attendant must be paid separately the day of) Is cake included and can you see pictures of included cakes? Do you include direction cards, table cards or printed menus? Are chair covers included? Who determines the order and the flow of the reception (Paris ended up in tears in her bridal suite because they wouldn't allow her a dance with Grampa when she wanted it?!?!) Do they allow open flame for candles? What liquor do they consider 'Top Shelf' How many beer choices and what are they? How do they handle special food requests (hold the....put this on the side...swap this for this...) Vegetarian Choice Kid's Meal Choices and Cost Vendor Meal Price & Will They be served the same menu options How long has your chef been with you? Do you have to go with 'house' vendors or can you hire your own? Charge for On-Site Ceremony Charge for Overtime? Do they offer Valet Parking and What is the charge? Are Bride and Groom counted towards minimums, Are Vendors? Is your officiant counted as a guest or a vendor? Is there more than one event at a time? Can you check out the ball room when there is a wedding going on? (No is the most appropriate answer because you want privacy at your wedding...but it would be nice to see the room in motion). Is there a bridal attendant? Who is the banquet manager? Are there bathroom attendants? In the event of a power outage...do you have a generator? What are the closest hotels? Do they offer shuttle service to the RH (reception hall)
And the best one: do you have any cancellations or open dates in the near future where the rates would be better?
