So FH cousin and his wife their 6 or 7 years older but we all get along great.. anyway thier expecting a little bundle of joy the first baby for the family so were all really excited ... they just bought a house and they made an apartment in the basement so lasntight FH got a phone call from his cousin and they called to offer us the apartment which i thought was sooo generous since FH has 2 older siblings who live home so i was supprised that he was calling us first. So he said i know its relaly hard to pay for a wedding and not live together (they got married 2 years ago) so they wanted to offer it to us first not asking much at all... but the thing is we just really cant afford it. and my parents are makin an apt in their house for dirt cheap so we can save and hopefully buy a house. But i was just really touched, there was really not point to this just wanted to share...

Re: listen to this...
yes we really do.. the other thing i was uncomfortable with if we were to move in with his cousins was that they need the money to help with the mortgage.. i dont want that weight on my shoulders in case we decide we want to move out sooner

we started dating in high school then he went away to school im just greatful that hes home in the same town for more then a month!!!
my parents are the sh!t... no newlyweds should have to live with their parents but its our own space own kitchen... and hell for 450 a month we can save SOOO MUCH MONEY so we can buy something fasting instead of wasting it on rent!!!

Re: listen to this...
honestly renting is not wasting money
Sometimes its cheaper to rent than to own its way less responsibilty, if anything breaks, the landlord replaces it, the landlord takes care of the taxes too, wich are alot of $$$. also if you rent a house, you dont have the responsiblities of the lawn and outside maintence, the landlord takes care of that too. In a house if an appliance breaks, you gotta shell out the money to replace it. God forbid the furnace or boiler breaks...i dont want to imagine what that will cost. Plus the amount of interest u pay on a mortgage in the begining is about 95%. Your really not even paying that much into principal
This is coming from someone who rented and owns a home.

Re: listen to this...
Dude...I rent from my parents right now...we have a high ranch so i have the whole basement apt for $500/mo
You better believe that i'm staying there until we can afford a house. He's going to move in after we get married and then a year or two when we can afford a house- WE OUT!!!!
That's awesome of ur cousins to offer though...its nice when family gets behind you and helps out
