oh no i am so sorry. Say its not just about the church you are getting married in but the fact that their daughter is getting married and about the whole day. That even if its hard to accept your choice, they should still be there for you and be happy and proud

Very sorry to hear. Make sure your mom is sure about her decision because your wedding invitation will forever be changed. Sometimes our parents don't agree with our decisions, but it's not their choice. Like I say to my mom, 'when you have your next wedding, you can do x'.

I agree, this is so not right of them and i would be truly hurt as well. They are your parents and their job is to love you unconditionaly and support you. Sorry you are going through this

i am so sorry to hear that , I would be upset too... maybe you should talk to your mom again , face to face and explain to her how hurt you are about her not wanting to be on the invitation and how you and FH made this choice as a couple to get married in a greek church .

First, I think you need to have an open conversation with your mom to find out why she is so against this and let her know that her support would mean a lot to you. Also, you should let her know once the invites goes to the printer, you can't change it. If she sticks with what she has said, then I think you should just eliminate the parents name, I think rewording will be awkward. Sorry she is giving you so much grief.
