little details

I'm really into putting personal touches on the details of our wedding. I think it's the little details that really make a wedding personalized and different. Like for example this weekend i found vintage milk jugs that we're going to use for the water on each table. They were only $1.50 each and go so well with the whole look of our wedding. I don't know i love little stuff like that. A lot of people make me feel like i'm being a bridezilla because i'm going so out of my way to do little things like this. Am I crazy? People are starting to make me feel kinda bad

I have this convo with people all the time. Most people say that no one will notice my little details (I am going to do them anyway). I think that the people who notice them are either also planning a wedding or just recently planned one. The older crowd I think probably has been to so many weddings that they all kind of melt together after a while. My FFIL says the only thing people will notice is the food and the music. Oh well. I am still investing my time in making the little things special, because, the fact of the matter is-- whether or not other people like them or even notice them, its OUR special day and what WE like is what we will do!

exactly! also maybe the people who are saying these things just havent ever been to a wedding with so many nice details as ours!

I'm obsessed with the little details and LOVE them! I always notice details at the wedding and they are always the things that I remember....so f everyone who doesn't like them

Don't feel bad! The little details and touches you will incorporate will set your wedding apart from others! Who cares what people will say? In the end if its going to make you happy and when you look back at the pictures and you see all the effort you put in and it brings a smile to your face, then that is what is important.

I think people who say 'Nobody notices' really mean 'I never notice'. I always notice little details.

A lot of people say guests always throw out invites, but I always keep mine. My friend ended up referencing her invites throughout the wedding (the same paisley was also on the cake, the same colors for the flowers, etc.) I thought it was genius! Anyone who didn't pay attention missed out. Besides, even if she was the only one who noticed, she loved it, and that's what really matters.

Of course the above may just be a way for me to justify all the DIY stuff I am doing too

If you notice them, and your photographer gets good pics of your little details, I really think thats all that matters!

I love details and I will be spending much time on some personal ones as well!! And some people will notice, I always do.
