So my FW and I have been happily engaged since Nov. 7, 2007 (i remember exact date and all the little details of the day). We decided to wait till after the holidays to start planning and true to word we have. We are about to put down a deposit on the Jericho Terrace in Mineola for the Dome Room on Feb. 7, 2009, I just wanted to know if anyone has had a wedding there and can give us an insight as to how many people attended and was it spacey enough.
We need to guarantee 200 people, right now we have 230 people on our guest list.

Jericho Terrace was one of our top choices! I just wanted to address the 'guarantee' number... If you have 230 on your list, that number can easily go up or drop a little in the next year as you plan. A good rule of thumb is that 20% will say No, so for a 230 person guestlist, that means 46 people will say no, and your guests on the day of will be around 184. You would need to invite at least 250 to have a better chance of having your 200 minimum.
Of course, some people have virtually no 'No's' and some people have 30-50% 'No's'. We had something like 30% say no, we were surprised, and for a while there we thought we weren't going to make our minimum (we did, and went over in the end, which was better than paying for people that weren't coming). Just something to think about. If I were you, I'd try to get them to lower the minimum to 185 or 175 just to be safe. Good luck!

first of all congrats!! ive only heard good things about it there, but i havent been first hand....as far as the guests, we invited 200, told them 150 and guaranteed 125 and had 128 the day of.

i didnt book Jericho Terrace but a llittle note of advice - assume that AT LEAST 20% of your guest list willnot attend - i invited 250 ppl and my guarntee was 175 - 175 was my final count plus 3 no shows that day - you dont want to get stuck paying for more people than are there
