I finally saw it this weekend - it really was a GREAT movie.
DH didn't like it nearly as much as I did; I haven't laughed so hard at a new movie in a while.

the END of the movie is hysterical...but the bulk of it left me kind of ...luckilly for that movie the rest of the movie left me PIMP!

I thought it was great too! I had no idea what dance she was going to do. DH called it though.

I loved it from beginning to end - I loved the dysfunctionality and the way that they all worked (or didn't work) together. The 15 year old son was my favorite and Steve Carrell was so perfectly understated in his role; when he was silent, he actually looked depressed. The little girl who played Olive was truly adorable - and BJ, I too had NOOOOOO idea what that little girl was going to do for her routine.
What I loved so much about it (other than that her GRANDFATHER taught her those moves ) was that all of those little girls were so oversexualized in their costumes and make up and their performaces and Olive's 'strip tease' was the most innocent of all of them.
