Little Sad (different user name!)

OK so I doubt my sister is a lurker on here but Just in Case!

OK here goes. My sister has not helped me with one thing this whole process, no I'm wrong for 13 minutes she helped me do one thing while watching TV so she did it wrong and I had to redo it!!!!!

Now I listen to her complain that her friends didn't do anything for her birthday!!!

I just wanted her to be happy and offer. I have asked her a few times if she can come over and do things but she is TOO busy. You are my MOH!!! Don't you even want to help me? I am just so sad that she hasn't even offered. Everyone else in the BP has offered, well most of them, but I do things at my own pace and know they are really busy. But I feel like my sister/MOH is different. I read all these stories about how people's BP's and MOH go above and beyond for them, but I just feel like I am getting the bare minimum! Sorry just needed to get that off of my chest. Thanks for reading

Can you talk to her about it, gently, and ask her if she could participate more?

I'm so sorry. I'm going through that myself. Every now and then she will do something/anything and it will give you at least a little smile. My MOH/sis hasn't lifter a finger till just this week. I guess the closer the wedding comes, maybe she will get into it. I also believe it has alot to do with age. My sis is the baby of the fam too. I hope things get better for you. Good luck and try to remember this is your day!

I would try to talk to her. Maybe ask her if she could come for lunch or something one day and ask her to do something specific, like wrap favors. Hope it works out for you, I'm sure she just doesn't realize

I would definitely express to her how you feel about the whole situation... without deliberately pointing fingers. It'll be better off in the end - no matter what the outcome - at least you'll feel like you made an effort to talk to her.

I went through the same thing....my best friend really stepped up to the plate and was my pseudo-MOH (for things like BP, ect).

BUT....it was my sister who took care of emergency things last minute when I really needed someone there. You can only hope!

But, be careful, maybe she is busy, maybe jealous...you never know...and a sister is forever. A wedding ends.

Good luck.
