Little Sister MOH -- Help!!

Hi everyone! I am my sister's Maid of Honor for her wedding in August 2007. I'm also a student on winter break and am hoping to get A LOT of the wedding stuff taken care of this month while I can give her my undivided attention.

What I'm working on now is finding inexpensive center pieces for the reception. She suggested candles so I was wondering if anyone knows how I can find affordable candle displays. I was thinking pillar candles in mirror dishes. Or maybe even dishes with sand and seashells with votive candles. Any advice would be very much appreciated! :)

If you were planning on making the centerpieces yourself, maybe check out Michaels. They usually have great deals on candles, glass bowls, plates, etc.

a c moore, my friend was thinking of the same thing and they had everything there. there are also coupons every week for them.

Awsome! I'll definitly be checking out Michaels and AC More. I'm scared to go shopping without her because I want to make sure she likes it. I'll prob check out their websites and see what they have

i would suggest that you do a search in the 'themes' board. i know that there are a few 'candle centerpiece' threads floating around with great ideas. you can look at the pictures, show them to your sister. this way you know what she likes before going to the store.

I saw complete sets with pilar candles, river stones and bowl at Bed Bath and Beyond for about $20.
