Can anyone who is getting close to their date or is already married give me some suggestions on 'little things' they end up buying before the reception (e.g., the guestbook)? I am a law school student, so I'm making good money this summer, but the summer of my wedding I'll be taking the bar and won't be working. So, I'm hoping to buy a lot of that kind of stuff now so that I a) won't have to worry about it while studying and b) can spend money while I have it rather than when I don't!

Re: Little Things
I have 80 days to go & all the little thigs are killing me. Try to get all the things that you think will be easy done now, because nothing is easy or cheap. Examples... Favors, things to wrap them in or ribbon to put on them programs bathroom basket place cards tip envelopes (you might as well get that over with) unity candle card box We haven't done any of this yet but hopefully it will get done somehow

Re: Little Things
Here's a bathroom basket poem: So happy you're here to share in our special day!
But should something happen to go astray, Please help yourself to the contents within, Wet wipe, hand lotion, and even aspirin, Use only what you need and leave the rest, It may also be useful to another guest, So repair the damage that may have been done, Then hurry on back and join in the fun!
Compliments of the newlyweds!
Or
Some practical goodies To help you feel your best! Use whatever you need, freshen up, But leave the rest for other guests!
Maybe you'd like a mint or your hair's out of place, There's a stain on your clothes or whatever the case! We've put this together to help you along, Now get yourself out there before the next song!
Compliments of the Bride and Groom

Also - does anyone know where you can by the gift container thingy, or do you basically have to make it if you want one?

Re: Little Things
Michaels, as I'm sure other craft stores, sell wedding card boxes. My aunt has a bird cage that I'm going to paint white... no need to buy something if you can use something else!
