Also try www.gigmasters.com

We're having a calypso band for the CH hour. We're trying to keep the feel from being too formal since it's a black-tie wedding.

I have been looking for a trio to play at the church. So far the vendors with the best prices are:

Absolute Strings n Things -866-235-3354
766-8131

Island String Quartet 1-631-689-9879

Sterling Ensemble -212-996-7565

Ensemble Champlain--1-718-777-9821

Hope this helps

Re: Live music for cocktail hour

We are having a pianist and a vocalist for the cocktail hour.
You could have a jazz group or string trio, or steel drums/calypso.

Re: Live music for cocktail hour

We're hiring Code Bleu for the whole reception. They have one person play during cocktail hour...I think one guy playing acoustic and singing. BTW....phenomenal band. We saw them for the second time last night!!

Re: Live music for cocktail hour

We are having live music. Although it may be a little different than what you are looking for. During cocktail hour my FH and i are considering having the Band BigShot play for the 1 1/2 hour. They are a Billy Jopel tribute band and they are amazing.
