Is anyone using live music for their cocktail hour? If so can you let me know who you are using.
I really wanted a band for our wedding, but unfortunately our reception room is not cut out for a band so I thought it might be nice if we could at least incorporate live music into the cocktail hour.

We are thinking about doing something for the cocktail hour too. Just have to figure out if we have the money for it. I went on Vendors Helping Brides and got a few quotes. Everyone got back to me so quickly.

If we DO have live music, it's going to be just a piano player. But I'm having a band [Peter Greco], so it would be included in my package with them... I dont know about hiring someone for JUST ch... Good luck!

we're having a calypso/steel drum band for our cocktail hour.... we can't wait
We are. We're having a jazz trio at the CH (bass, sax & guitar).
We are using Soul Revival, they are also providing our ceremony music.

At first I asked for a String Quartet. But that doesn't include a harp. FH likes the sound of a harp. So we might get a trio. I am not sure what else comes with that.... maybe a cello and violin.

We're using a piano player. Our DJ gave us a really nice deal on using this as an option for our CH. I love the piano

i went to a wedding where they had an elvis impersonator sing at the cocktail hour and then after being introduced as mr & mrs. elvis sang for there first dance ' cant help falling in love'
i thought that was such a greeat idea, but i am also and elvis fan!!!
and it worked for them bc an elvis song was there first dance song anyway!!
