Has anyone ever seen one used or does anyone know of anyone? It's a live painter who paints at your reception. they paint a portrait of the event and are done byt he end of the night. The nearest one I found in in Philly and I don't want to pay for travel...

i don't know much about it, but I remember seeing it on an episode of my fair wedding with david tutera and it was awesome! lol

I loooooooooooooove David Tutera..not even my fair wedding..just David Tutera! LOL Yeah FH got his cigar roller and I got my photobooth but now that we won the free dj package I thought 'Yay, extra money!!' LOL he laughs at me because I can't just 'save' the money, I have to spend it. I am sure a live painter might be over the top though. We will see. If I get info I'll post!

I think some live painters paint an entire mural which can be over the top, but maybe you can have a canvas-sized photo painted instead!

Just an idea... Maybe contact an art school (Im sure there are a ton in NYC) and see if they have a staff member or student who does this.

I have no idea about the work they do or the cost, but it seems like there are a few out there.

LMAO! Which episode last night? I saw the girl that wanted a Hawaiian wedding. There was a painter there?? Me and FH have watched every episode I thought...hmmm...do tell so I can you tube it!
Ok so I got some quotes...ready? It is between $900 and $1500...depending on the size of the canvas. I'm not sure whether this is a lot or not but if you keep it forever maybe not. I don't like some of the artists that are listed...they look like a little kid painted it ya know? But some are really nice. Another option might just be go get a canvas painting of us later. I dunno...just sounded like a cool option. I like the art school idea because they might paint a little cleaner than some of the work I saw. Some of them looked bad for $1000...like I could do it myself and let me tell you I am not a good artist at all! LOL

FH's friend did this and at first where said WTH but omg it was amazing when they finished. Not sure how much it is but I'm sure its pricey.

FYI - heard on the radio that David Tutera is going to be at the Deer Park outlets early Feb. I'll try and catch it again for details!
