Has anyone seen/done this before? What was sung? I have never seen it before.

what do you mean by live singer?
our church always have a soloist and duet sing during some parts of the ceremony (signing of certificate, exchanging vows, etc). i LOVE it. i think it adds emotions to the whole ceremony.

What songs do they sing? Are they usually religious songs? We are not having a religious ceremony.

I am having my friend sing. He is amazing, and my other friend will accompany him.
Haven't picked out the songs. But will do one before the ceremony and one during. Maybe during a unity candle or something like that. We are getting married at the RH

that all sounds nice. Are you guys getting married indoors or outdoors. When if first thought of having live music (first I was looking for an instrument. ) my sis said that if its indoors it might be a waste. Do you agree with that? I don´t see why it shouldn´t be nice indoors as well.

i think it can be really beautiful. i was originally (as you know) thinkin of sheri for the church. but we will have someone at the church singing anyway (we have to pay for the music whether or not we add extra ppl anyway)....

if the weather is ok i will be outside for the ceremony

it's NOT a waste for having live music in an indoor ceremony! it's even nicer because you get to hear the lyrics.
some church allow you to pick any love song you like.
