what is your living arrangement after marriage? stay with parents or inlaws or move out?
my story: i am the only child and come from a very close knit family.i have a good relationship with my parents especially my dad. my mom wants me to stay with them because i am their only child. a part of me says to leave but the other part says to stay with them. what is everyone's living arrangements after getting married?

I'm in the process of moving out to our new apt we got last month. Like you, I'm very close to my family and my sister so it's tough for me to leave hence, I feel like I'm delaying moving out to our new place LOL. But, it's reality and people grow up and do new things with their lives. Also, you have to take into account that you two will be your own family now and living with in laws while you guys are still starting out will be hard because of different personalities involved in the household.

I've been living with FH for almost a year. I miss my parents' house at times, but remember, you can always go back and visit. Besides, no one wants to live with their parents when they're married - it can be really awkward for you and your hubby!

lived with my DH for over 6 years when we got married. I don't think he would have been cool with me living at home AFTER we got married. Like someone said you can live nearby and visit your parents as often as you'd like.

Moved out, bought a house, found husband, he moved in...we got married.
Its tought decision, however, a marriage that is new needs space to grow, but how does your FH feel about living with your fam? Will you have to pay rent? how will you manage time with your husband and family? Good Luck HTH

We moved out last month. We actually found an apartment right around the corner from my mom - its great. We love being on our own for the first time. I couldn't imagine staying home... I love my family but wanted my space!!

dh and i bought a house 6 months before our wedding
i could never, ever imagine living with either of our parents after the wedding unless we were in a dire financial situation

My FH and I will be living with my mother in her home. She has a mother/daughter. It works for us and we get to save $$$ so we will be able to buy our own house one day!
