Just wondering...my FI and I still live at home. There was NO way that my mother was going to allow me to live with my FI prior to marriage.....she is very old fashioned!

LOL I was single for so long that my mother actually told me to run out and have an affair. Then she proceeds to tell me that if I ever got prego when I wasn't married, I could always move back home. Talk about progressive. Now why in the world would I do something so irresponsible? Good lord MOM!!!!

we are both in our late 20's nearing the big 30! he's lived on his own since he was 23, i got my own place about two years ago. we plan to move in together this fall. it's silly for me to pay rent when i could live in his condo rent-free!!

FH and I both live in seperate apartments, but plan on buying a house in Oct-Nov, which is a few months before the wedding. My mom wasn't happy about that, but after we explained the finances of having 2 apartments she understands.

We have lived together for the past year. FI moved out of his parents' house in Dec. 2002 and I got my own aparmtent in July 2003. We decided it was stupid to pay 2 rents since he was always at my apartment so we moved in together. Both of our parents took it pretty well.

I'm 23 and he's 24 - we've lived together for 2 years now....he's in law school and after college moved to Philadelphia and I just followed his a year later after I graduated.
As for my parents my mom was a little ehh about it at first but I really felt like it wasn't her choice and she got over it now I think she's just hoping for a baby. Moms are crazy aren't they she didn't want me to live with him until we were married but giving her a baby would be A-ok.
I'm actually glad we lived together before we get married I would have much rather found out that we can't live together before we got married (JMO)

us too - only it's both sets of parents, not just my mother.

I live at home and so does he but I am always at his house. Just out of convience. His parents are usually away for 3 months and we have a dog so Im there everyday. Basically its like we are living together. I do sleep home...sometimes. I didnt want to live with my FH prior to getting married. That is the old fashioned part of my parents coming out in me. I just feel that could wait until we are married.

Ditto!!! Wouldn't have it any other way!!! Except right now, he's temporarily living in Albany during the week - - can't wait for Friday when I get to see him!!!!!

We both still live at home...unless we hit the lotto before the wedding its going to stay that way...I stay at his house every weekdend and I'm there every night so its like we're living together already...I just can't wait until I don't have to go 'home' to get ready for work...

it's so nice to see so many people still at home.
despite desperate attempts at leaving home over the last four years, I just gave up. I like it. now that I am moving to another state, i'm cherishing these days - i'll never get a chance to be with them all the time ever again. oh my gosh, i'm going to cry right now.
but hopefully - - - we shall find a long-lost cousin who will buy us a house in jersey. That would be nice! And I will move there - hopefully by the end of the summer. Where's that money tree again?

I still live at home FH has been living on his own since he was 22. We are planning on moving in together over the summer. He lives in Queens and I live in Commack, so we only get to see each other on weekends which really stinks!
