Living with FH

I saw this on the newlyweds board, and thought it would be fun on here also! Talk about some annoying/funky things that FH does that drive you nuts (in terms of living w/ him). For those not yet living together, what are things that he does when you're around him that you wish he'd change when you guys move in together.

Some from my end (we've been living together since the first week of knowing eachother, so by now I'm used to things lol)

- He likes to load the dishwasher and put it on before it's even full!!! Sometimes we do like 2 loads within one day.

- When he shaves, he doesn't always clean up all the hair on the sink. And when I tell him about it, he says 'Oh I cleaned it'

I'll think of more later lol

He is SUCH a neat freak. Which is good....most of the time.

Not so good when I put something down that I am in the middle of using and turn my back and can't find it because he already went and put it away!

ie: I'll be cooking and will put the spoon down and he will take it and start washing it. I still need that!!!!! LOL

he will kill me if he ever sees me talking about him but when he trims his nose hair (sorry Lee), he leaves it in the sink and doesn't wash it with water down the drain. it drives me nuts. we don't live together yet but i've noticed it and have told hiim to stop doing that and he said he's going to try

He bites his cuticles, it is the most annoying sound in the world.

He uses my hair dryer when doing '#2' to mask the sound and then within a month I have to buy a new one!!!

He yells at me for not cleaning the kitchen, yet I cook dinner and then do my best and he never offers to help without giving a snide remark!

Haha FH leaves his stuff EVERYWHERE! I'm a neat freak so we constantly are on each other about it. It's not unusual for me to come home (if I leave before him) and find his wet, nasty, and now gross smelling towel from the shower on our bedroom floor He also just comes in and drops his crap anywhere he sees a flat surface!

But that's the only thing I can think of! And I know since I'm a neat freak that pisses him off

Doug walks out of his pants when he walks in the door... like walks out of them and leaves them there on the floor with the belt, his wallet, etc etc still in them. The next day, he either pulls the same pants back on, or goes into the pants and takes his wallet out...never pausing to put them in the laundry...BTW he does this outside the door of the laundry room. We don't live together yet, but I am sooo going to kill him if he keeps doing this. We're also going to have hardwood floors in the new apartment and he just literally lets the pants drop the floor. I don't want to wreck the floors and have to pay damages to the landlord from his belt buckle..


Oh..he is also like a zombie in the morning. Getting him out the door is like pulling teeth. He can't be bothered to actually do anything, but sometimes he feels like he has to eat, so he'll have cereal, in a plastic cup instead of a bowl (probably because all of the bowls are dirty in the smelly sink), he FILLS it with milk, which he refuses to drink, then in his rush out the door he'll leave a cup full of milk on the bookshelf, on the ledge when you come into the house or in the car One time it spilled and ruined my overnight bag.

Let's just say he has a lot of habits to break in the next 4 months. He's moving into our new place (we get the keys tomorrow), and I've stressed it;s OUR place, and I am totally going to inspect it and NOT tolerate this bachelor crap.

Haha FH leaves his stuff EVERYWHERE! I'm a neat freak so we constantly are on each other about it. It's not unusual for me to come home (if I leave before him) and find his wet, nasty, and now gross smelling towel from the shower on our bedroom floor He also just comes in and drops his crap anywhere he sees a flat surface!

As a joke I registered for like 10 hair dryers at bed bath and beyond!!!! HAHA!!!

He uses my mirror to trim the back of his hair and then asks me where the mirror is... um, you use it all the time not me..

there are others but it's the first thing I can think of. We have been living together for about 14 months now.

The hair in the sink makes me crazy!!! He always insists that he cleaned it up. It's like male eyes just can't see the mess that we can. he's all 'what, I wiped it down???'

he will get up in the middle of the night to eat a bowl of cereal

he is OCD to the extreme about washing your hands as soon as you walk into the house, and not touching anything soooo friggin annoying

'there's a place for everything, and everything in its place' he says... to this i proceed to throw my shlt everywhere

omg, by biggest one is that he will do the laundry, which is a nice try, but then leave it in the dryer for like a week so everything is super wrinkly and I just have to wash it again!!!

OMG!!! FH does the same thing and I hate it!!!! The worst is that we live in a duplex and the bathroom is downstairs while the bedroom is upstairs. So he tends to leave the towels in the bedroom. So there have been times I don't realize there are no towels in the bathroom until after I'm done showering. Then I have to scream his name out to bring me down a towel b/c there are none in the bathroom. Oh and his shoes!! His shoes are all over the house. Where he takes them off, thats where they stay. Drives me crazy!!

- He has conversations with the TV. Like if there is a football game on he will talk to the players like they can hear him lol. He does this with he video games too. And he'll yell and get angry if he dies in a game

- He vacuums EVERYTHING!!!! The rug, the wood floors, the bathroom, the couches, the curtains - at least once a week!

- He checks the house about 90 times before we leave to make sure everything is off and then he checks the door another 50 times to make sure the door is locked properly.

OMG, I love all the answers!!!

I thought of a few more now that I have a few minutes:

- He cuts his nails in the living room without using like a trash bag or something and then says 'oh whatever we'll just vacuum later'

- He has the whole entertainment system set up in a way that at the beginning I barely knew how to use it - AND, he always uses our home computer for something. Now I just bring my laptop at home.

- He does the laundry a lot and will fold it, but only put his stuff away and say he doesn't know where my stuff goes lol (yet, our closet is connected, but ok lol)

- He has to be the one to Swiffer!!! He doesn't like how I swiffer.
