Ok-- I have been on this site for like two weeks, am already a 'Fanatic', but I have not a clue what 'bump' means..
Can someone please clarify? This one I can't figure out on my own.. I know it is like stopping a thread or something- I just don't know.

Actually, it's just the opposite. When you post in the old post, it goes up to the top of the board. So, when someone posts 'bump' they want to bring the post up to the top of the board for someone to see, i.e they are 'bumping' it!

Bump means BRING UP MY POST... if someone is looking for it people 'bump' it to move it up for the person to find :)

BM can also mean 'Best Man' And Jenniesunshine don't feel bad .. I always referred to my cocktail hour as 'CH' also .. never figured out it could mean catering hall as well

One reason to bump a post is because it sometimes seems as if there are two groups of LIW gals - the daytimers and the nighttimers.
If I post something at night and don't get a response, I could bump it the next day to bring it up to the top of the topics list. That way, the girls who are only online during the day get to see it and to respond.
