So, I was going over the invite list w mom and dad. They asked about a particular couple, and I said, 'Of course they're invited, i sent them an STD.' My dad looks up and is like, 'excuse me??' I then realized that nobody in the room was laughing except me as i explained that i sent them a CARD, not a disease!!!!! I need to get a life......

that is really funny - I did that to my friend at a dinner with 6 other couples - i was like we got your STD - it is really nice - needless to say there was awkward silence for a few seconds - then I realized that i had to explain

For those not in the 'know' a STD sounds like a pretty bad thing to be sending people.
