Fh has been waiting to get in the academy for NYC police. He took the physical 3 times, mini med 3 times etc.
Well today he finally got his call - he is in and starts weds:) I am so proud of him! I know there are some nypd wives on here.
My dad graduated from the academy at Brooklyn college July 6 1982. Fh will swear in at Brooklyn college on July 6, 2011.

Thanks girls! We were all crying when he got the call! My dad is so excited his son in law is following his path. He gave fh a pic of his graduation day. My parents were engaged when that happened!

FH here,
Congrats on getting in the the NYPD. I went through the academy a couple of years ago. If you have any questions on what to expect feel free to FM me. Its gonna be an experience to say the least, But come December it will be all worth it. Congrats again.

All I can say is that it's a long *** road but if you keep going it's all worth it! To imagine this was the the easy part most likely.

From one FW to another marrying into the NYPD... my biggest advice is be flexible and understanding to the tour schedules.. You never know when they get over time, get stuck at work and don't work '9-5'. FH use to work midnight-8am and now works 3pm-1130pm... (note: I work 9-5) And get yourself a liltte calendar. People laugh at me when they ask if FH is off a night and I literally pull out my calendar and count this days off.
There are a few NYPD FWs on here and a few FDNY FWs too... Good luck and were always here to advice.
