why? because it doesn't work. I've just done a few keyword and phrase searches for words I've used in older posts, and they don't come up.

There are many times when I was looking for a thread and typed one of the EXACT words in the title of the post and the search feature wouldn't return it as a result.
The member name search works well so I mostly only use that. Of course, if I don't know who even posted in the thread, I'm screwed.

searching by name works. But if you don't know who posted what you're looking for, it doesn't help.

Please provide a specific example. The search feature has been modified many times to accomodate the users requests. All you have to do is ask and we will do what we can to change things for you. Unless you say something suxs. Then maybe we won't!

I find the search feature at the very top right of the page doesn't work, but the search feature once you are in the 'chat' area seems to work pretty good.....

The search on the top right is not for the message boards. It searches the rest of the site.

I have a suggestion. When you search for a member's post can it just be the thread that the particular person started, not in every single one they posted.
